Privacy Policy

Progress Schedulytics (the "App", previously released as P6 Progress Dashboard and, before that, ProjectPulse) is developed and published by Mohammed Farooque (the "Developer", "we", "us"). This policy explains what the App does and does not do with data, on both Windows and Android.

1. Project data is processed entirely on your device

All project data — Primavera P6 XML exports, the optional Excel data template (cost, HSE, quality, deliverables, team records) and every generated output (Excel workbooks, PowerPoint decks, Word and PDF reports, HTML dashboards) — is read, processed and written locally on the device you are using.

• No project file, file name, file path, activity, schedule date, cost figure or any derivative of them is transmitted anywhere.
• Report generation runs in-process on your machine. No cloud service performs any part of the analysis.
• On Android, files are written to app-private storage. The App uses the Android Storage Access Framework to open the file you select, and requests no broad storage permission.
• The App functions with no internet connection at all, other than the one-time licence activation described in section 3.

2. No analytics, telemetry or tracking in the App

• No usage statistics, event tracking, advertising identifiers, advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs are included in either build.
• No crash-reporting service is bundled.
• The Developer has no visibility into which features you use, which files you open, or how often you run the App.
• The App shows no advertisements.

This website is separate from the App and does use standard web analytics (Google Analytics) to count page visits. That applies to this site only, never to the App or your project data.

3. The only data that leaves your device: licence activation

The App is commercial software and verifies a licence once, at activation. This is the sole outbound network request the App makes.

What is sent	The licence key you typed, the product identifier, and a device identifier used to lock the licence to one device.
Device identifier — Windows	A cryptographic hash derived from system identifiers (hardware fingerprint / HWID).
Device identifier — Android	The Android ID (Settings.Secure.ANDROID_ID), which is specific to the app-and-device combination and is reset if the device is factory reset.
Where it is sent	An activation endpoint operated by the Developer at projectpulse-activation.md-farooque.workers.dev, hosted on Cloudflare Workers, which verifies the key against the Gumroad licensing API.
What is not sent	No project data, file names, paths, schedule content, contacts, location, photos, messages, or any personal information beyond the above.
What is retained	The licence key and the associated device identifier, solely to enforce the per-licence device limit. No browsing history, no usage history, no project information.
Transport	HTTPS (TLS) for all requests.

During the free trial period, no activation request is made at all.

Why the endpoint says “projectpulse”. The App was originally released under the internal codename ProjectPulse. That name survives only where changing it would break licences customers have already paid for — the activation hostname above, the internal product identifier sent with the key, and the local folder the licence file is stored in. It is not a different company, a third party, or a different product: it is this same App under its original codename.

4. Permissions used by the Android app

Permission	Why
INTERNET	Licence activation only (section 3).
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE	To report a clear "no connection" message instead of failing silently during activation.

The App deliberately does not request read or write external storage permission, location, camera, microphone, contacts, or access to your accounts.

5. Sharing reports is your action, not ours

The Android app can hand a generated report to another app you choose (email, messaging, cloud storage) through the standard Android share sheet. That transfer is initiated by you and governed by the privacy policy of the app you send it to. The Developer receives nothing as part of it.

6. Children

The App is a professional engineering tool intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Beta testers and correspondence

If you volunteer for the closed testing programme, you provide an email address (the Google account used on your Android device) so that Google Play can grant you access to the test track.

• The address is used only to enrol you as a tester and to send you information about the test and any discount code offered to participants.
• Enrolment is handled through Google Play; that process is also subject to Google's own privacy policy.
• Addresses are never sold, rented, or shared with any third party, and are not added to any marketing list without your explicit agreement.
• Ask at any time and your address will be removed from the tester list and deleted from our records.

8. Your rights

Because no account is created and no project data is collected, there is very little data to exercise rights over. You may nonetheless request, at the contact address below:

• confirmation of what is held against your licence key;
• deletion of a device identifier associated with your licence (for example when you replace a device);
• removal of your email address from the tester list.

To remove all locally stored data, uninstall the App. On Android you may also use Settings → Apps → Progress Schedulytics → Storage → Clear data, which removes the generated reports and the local licence record from the device.

9. Security

Licences are validated using Ed25519 public-key cryptography; the App contains only the public key. Activation traffic uses HTTPS. Because project data never leaves your device, the security of your schedules and reports rests on your own device and account controls — the Developer maintains no database of user project data that could be breached.

10. Third parties

No data is sold to anyone, and no data is shared with advertisers or data brokers.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the effective date at the top will be updated and the revised version published at this same address. Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
