No. Every engine is built to run offline on your own machines — Excel VBA, local Python, or a single self-contained HTML file opened in your browser. There is no cloud upload, no API call and no telemetry, so it works on air-gapped machines. Where sample files are needed to build against your template, an NDA is signed first and files can be redacted or replaced with dummy data.
Into your existing, already-agreed workbook — that is usually the whole point, because the layout has been signed off with your client. Tools are built to edit only the specific rows involved and carry logos, dropdowns, conditional formatting, print settings, formulas and defined names through untouched. On a recent enterprise build, 10,190 conditional-formatting rules and 107 dropdown validations were verified preserved on every single save, and a timestamped backup is taken before each one.
